All Captain Swan fans should check this out! I just saw this posted on YT and it’s all sorts of epic.

Here’s hoping Colin O’Donoghue never discovers the Captain Hook tag on tumblr. He seems so nice, I’d hate if we scarred him for life! Then again, it is his fault for existing. And in such a state of perfect everything. Still, he better not come on here…
‘Tap dancing -you get out there and it goes. You have to do it from your toes to the last tip of your hair. You have to dance all over. I think the reason I loved tap dancing is that I love the music. And I hear the beat. I cannot dance to a piece of music I don’t like. I think I would have been an excellent drummer, because that’s what I do with my feet. It’s all in the way you use them. It’s the sound you get out of those taps, just combinations of sound. You only have two feet and four taps to make magic, you know. And you can make magic with it.’ - Peggy Ryan
Donald O’Connor; i can’t quit you [a tribute]
“It’s my great pleasure, to present a young man who started in vaudeville at the age of two […] and went on to make some of the most memorable musicals ever put on the screen. One of your favorite stars and, certainly one of mine, he proves that, we Irish, also have rhythm -Donald O’Connor!” - Gene Kelly

Donald O’Connor (Mike Beebe; Sing You Sinners // 1938)
‘Small Fry, now you kissed the neighbor’s daughter.’
‘Sure, I give a little smackaroo, but wise guy, you’re the one who taught her!’

Universal’s answer to MGM’S Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney, Peggy Ryan and Donald O’Connor were a comedic dance and acting team. Together they made fourteen films in the early 1940’s, full of insane tap steps, hep songs, and unbelievable prat falls. They are pure genius.
Yes, another Gene-centric fan vidlet. This time with Judy from Summer Stock (1950)!

…because this song was perfect for Joy and Barry (Mitzi Gaynor and Gene Kelly) in ‘Les Girls’ (1957)…
